Our strategies

  • Uphold the rights of all Mobilise IT staff to a safe, healthy workplace and community.
  • Deliver fair, consistent and effective management oversight
  • Mobilise IT Workplace and Gender Equality Policy

“Workplace equality is achieved when people are able to access and enjoy the same rewards, resources and opportunities regardless of gender”

Australia, along with many countries worldwide, has made significant progress towards gender equality in recent decades, particularly in education, health and female workforce participation.

However, the gender gap in the Australian workforce is still prevalent. Women continue to earn less than men, are less likely to advance their careers as far as men, and accumulate less retirement or superannuation savings.

The aim of Mobilise IT’s gender equality in the workplace policy is to make a clear statement that we will achieve broadly equal opportunities and outcomes for women and men.

Mobilise IT is proudly compliant with The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA or Agency) Australian Government statutory authority. WGEA’s role is to administer the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act) which seeks to promote and improve gender equality outcomes for both women and men in the workplace.

The aim of gender equality in the workplace is to achieve broadly equal outcomes for women and men, not necessarily outcomes that are exactly the same for all.

To achieve this Mobilise IT has:

  • A workplace that provides equal pay for work of equal or comparable value
  • Removes barriers to the full and equal participation of women in the workforce
  • Access to all positions and roles, including leadership roles, regardless of gender; and
  • The elimination of discrimination on the basis of gender, particularly in relation to family and caring responsibilities.

Achieving gender equality is important to all at Mobilise IT not only because it is ‘fair’ and ‘the right thing to do,’ but because it is also linked to our country’s overall economic performance.

  • Workforce Diversity

“Different perspectives help us all to achieve more”

Our mission is deeply inclusive: empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We expect each of us—no matter what our level, role or function is—to play an active role in creating environments where people of diverse backgrounds are excited to bring all of who they are and do their best work.

  • Our Environment

“Let our generation and every generation thereafter, strive to leave the world in a better place for the next”

The future is green. And at Mobilise IT we’re all about responsibility and sustainability – protecting your data and the planet. We strive to limit tech’s impact on our environment and the world, in terms of data security as well. In essence, handling tech responsibly and reducing its footprint on the planet. We have a comprehensive approach to environmental sustainability. Our aim is to lead our industry in environmental sustainability where applicable.

Recent programs implemented to reduce our carbon footprint such as but no limited to:

  1. 100% Computing in the cloud. In 2019 we completed a 2 year program to shutdown all of our on-premise server

computing by moving our core business software the cloud and in shared infrastructure.

  • We are ON with LED. In 2018 Mobilise IT replaced all office lights with energy efficient LED’s, consuming less than half of the of the power of our previous lighting systems.
  • Digital printing. Our printing policy is clear print only if mandatory and together each page we don’t print saves a leaf, a branch and a tree.

It is no surprise our IT operations are also 100% virtualized, we are committed to continue to do more with less and:

  • Driving a culture of continuous environmental improvement with a focus on energy efficiency
  • Actively pursuing renewable or lower-carbon energy sources for our infrastructure
  • Understanding and managing our environmental risks with the goal of minimising or eliminating those risks
  • Actively working to minimise pollution and manage waste within the IT sector
  • Engaging with our employees and executives on environmental issues and transparently reporting on our environmental performance
  • complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Our Environment Policy reinforces our commitment and precautionary approach to environmental sustainability. It also demonstrates our understanding that our actions are important to our customers and our people, as well as our business outcomes.

  • Indigenous policy

Mobilise IT is committed to respecting the rights of Indigenous peoples, in line with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), Mobilise IT has committed to going beyond ‘business as usual’ to embed reconciliation in the delivery of core business practices and decision making at the highest level.

Through the successful implementation of this policy, Mobilise IT aims to continue to build relationships with our people, clients and community that are founded on mutual respect and understanding. We aim to be the partner of choice for Indigenous organisations, communities and businesses and an employer of choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples where applicable.

Acknowledgement of Country

At Mobilise IT, we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of this land.

We recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ history and cultures are the foundation of Australia’s collective history and culture.

We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work.

We celebrate that we live in the country with the world’s oldest continuous living cultures.

We acknowledge and respect that Indigenous peoples maintain a distinctive cultural, spiritual, physical and economic relationship with their land and water. As such, we take our obligations to the land and environments in which we operate seriously. Mobilise IT ‘s commitment to caring for country and environment is evident in our action plan to minimise our carbon footprint, by responsibly and ethically removing on premise technology and moving to shared technology services such as cloud infrastructure wherever possible.

This policy is called the ‘Indigenous Peoples Policy’ to remain consistent with terminology used in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and relevant guides. This policy sets out the specific focus areas of Mobilise IT’s strategy to be inclusive, to recognise, protect and respect the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both within and outside of our organisation.

In all Mobilise IT operations, including supply chain, we endeavour to respect the rights of Indigenous peoples to maintain and strengthen their own institutions, cultures and traditions, and to pursue their development in keeping with their needs and aspirations. One example of how we extend our indigenous policy within our broader supply chain is our partnership with GreenBox, a proud Supply Nation Member and Mobilise IT’s partner for the provision of IT asset lifecycle services with an emphasis on end-of-use solutions.

  • Modern Slavery

People are at the very centre of our business at Mobilise IT and we are committed to respecting the human rights of all individuals regardless of who they are, where they live, what they believe, or their abilities.

Modern slavery is the severe exploitation of a person for the personal or commercial gain by another party. It refers to practices including forced labour, child labour, debt bondage, slavery and slavery-like practices, and extends to instances involving force, coercion, deception or abuse of power;

As an example in practice Modern Slavery can occur in any country, even Australia and the most basic form of modern day slavery is where a person is forced to work without pay to settle debts or is forced to work through intimidation and violence. Additionally, the term ‘modern slavery’ can also include other unlawful activities that have adverse effects on human rights, such as corruption and environmental damage.

Mobilise IT recognises that modern forms of slavery can occur in any country and industry across the world, with significant consequences for victims and negatively impacts on global business and markets. This Statement outlines our ongoing actions to identify and address potential modern slavery risks in our business operations and supply chains and highlights the key steps we are taking to refine and enhance our response to them. Having the freedom to make choices in life is empowering and grows optimism. Furthermore, take steps to eradicate modern slavery and the associated risks, not just within our company, but where possible to distil and enforce the same ideology within our broader ecosystems of partners. We are strongly committed to delivering our services in a manner that upholds human rights and protects the fundamental dignity of workers. Mobilise IT is always actively working to identify and mitigate risks associated with modern slavery. This Modern Slavery Statement (Statement) has been prepared in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (Act).
